Sustainable Engineering

Integrated sustainability engineering: geothermal loops, photovoltaic glass, passive cooling, and Passivhaus-grade envelopes — designed so certification is a by-product, not a retrofit.

Sustainable Engineering

Performance is a specification, not a claim

We do not market sustainability. We specify it — U-values, embodied carbon, annual heating and cooling loads, operational energy — line by line in the tender document.

The result is buildings that hit the performance targets we promised, verified after commissioning, not marketed before it.

Passive first, active second

Every project is designed passive first — orientation, mass, shading, cross-ventilation, and daylight — before any mechanical system is added. The active systems that follow are smaller, quieter, and cheaper because the building was designed to need less of them.

This is why our sustainable homes are also comfortable homes. Passive design and comfort are the same discipline.

What we deliver

A defined scope, priced up front.

  • 01Passivhaus and near-zero envelope design
  • 02Geothermal, PV, and rainwater strategies
  • 03Whole-life carbon assessment (A1–A5, B, C)
  • 04Post-occupancy performance verification
  • 05Certification management (LEED, BREEAM, Passivhaus, WELL)

The process

Phase 01

Passive analysis

Solar, wind, thermal, and daylight modelling from concept stage.

Phase 02

Envelope design

Thermal, air, and vapour lines resolved before the wall type is chosen.

Phase 03

Active systems

Renewables, HVAC, and controls integrated into the architecture.

Phase 04

Verification

Post-occupancy monitoring against modelled performance.
